What you earn
You supply an asset to its lending pool and receive vTokens (vSOL, vUSDC, vUSDT). Borrowers pay interest into the pool, so each vToken is redeemable for more of the underlying over time. Your Supply APY depends on how much of the pool is borrowed (its utilization): the busier the pool, the higher the rate. See Interest Rate Model. What you risk
- Liquidity: you can withdraw only what isn’t currently lent out. In a very busy pool (high utilization) you may have to wait for repayments or liquidations to free cash.
- Bad debt: if a borrower’s collateral falls faster than it can be liquidated, the pool can take a loss. Vanna liquidates at a health factor of 1.10, while every borrower still has more collateral than debt, to keep this rare. The Analytics page shows estimated bad debt and accounts at risk live.
- Test network: today’s app runs on a mainnet fork; balances are test balances.
Other ways to earn
- Predict: hold matched Yes and No shares and they earn in Vanna’s USDC pool until the event resolves (Predict).
- Farm: through a margin account you can supply to Kamino or deposit into Perena and basis vaults (Farm).
