# Cross-Pool Rate Carry

> Borrow XLM or BLUSDC on Vanna and supply the same token to Blend. An illustrative testnet workflow.

Borrow a token from Vanna and supply **the same token** to Blend from your margin account. You earn Blend's supply APY on the borrowed amount and pay Vanna's borrow APY on it.

**1. Deposit and borrow**

On **Margin → Leverage your Assets**, deposit collateral and borrow **XLM** or **BLUSDC**. See [Borrow](https://docs.vanna.finance/stellar/guides/margin/borrow.md).

**2. Supply to Blend**

On **Farm → Lending/Single Assets**, open the same asset and supply it. See [Blend](https://docs.vanna.finance/stellar/guides/farm/blend-pools.md).

**3. Monitor the spread**

Compare Blend's supply APY with the asset's Borrow APY on Earn, and keep an eye on your health factor.

**4. Exit**

Withdraw from Blend, [repay](https://docs.vanna.finance/stellar/guides/margin/repay.md) the loan in the same asset, then check what's left.

## What it does and doesn't hedge

The borrowed and supplied amounts are the same token, so their price moves offset each other. Your own **collateral** is still exposed, both amounts change as interest accrues, and Blend's liquidity and protocol risk remain. The account as a whole is not automatically delta-neutral.
