# Deposit Collateral

> Move XLM, BLUSDC, AqUSDC or SoUSDC from your wallet into your margin account, with or without borrowing.

Depositing moves tokens from your **wallet** into your **margin account**, where they back your loans. This is different from supplying on Earn.

There are two ways to deposit:

**Deposit and borrow**

Use **Leverage your Assets** when you want to borrow in the same flow.

**1. Add collateral**

Under **Deposit**, pick the token. Keep the source on **WB** (wallet balance) and enter an amount or use the % chips. Click **+ Add Collateral** to deposit more than one token.

**2. Set the borrow**

Choose what to borrow and the leverage. Leave leverage at **1x** to deposit without borrowing.

**3. Sign**

With one collateral, deposit and borrow go out as **one** transaction. With several collaterals, the app deposits first and borrows second.

See [Borrow](https://docs.vanna.finance/stellar/guides/margin/borrow.md).

**Deposit only**

Use **Transfer Collateral** (or the header **Deposit → Transfer** tab) to add collateral without creating debt.

**1. Pick the direction**

Set **From** to your wallet and **To** to the margin account.

**2. Choose token and amount**

Pick the exact token and enter the amount.

**3. Review and sign**

Check the health factor before → after and sign. Adding collateral only raises your health factor.

See [Transfer Collateral](https://docs.vanna.finance/stellar/guides/margin/transfer-collateral.md).

## Good to know

* **Supported collateral:** XLM, BLUSDC, AqUSDC and SoUSDC. The three USDC tokens are different; deposit the one you hold.
* **XLM reserve:** a 100% XLM deposit keeps back your wallet's minimum reserve plus a fee buffer.
* **Check the margin balance**, not only your wallet balance, after the transaction confirms.
