# Lending Pools

> Per-mint reserves for USDC, USDT and SOL: cash ledger, borrow totals, rate curve, caps.

Each pool has one `Reserve` at `["reserve", mint]` and one share mint (vTokens) at `["share_mint", mint]`. Pools exist for **USDC, USDT and SOL**. Every other asset is collateral only.

## Balances that matter

| Field | Meaning |

| `accounted_liquidity_assets` | Cash credited by measured transfers |
| `total_borrow_assets` | Outstanding principal plus accrued interest |
| `total_borrow_shares` | Sum of borrower shares |
| `total_supply_shares` | Sum of lender shares, counted by the reserve itself |
| `accrued_protocol_fees` | Reserve-factor slice, not lender equity |
| `borrow_index_wad` | Cumulative borrow growth |

Unsolicited transfers into the liquidity vault do **not** increase `accounted_liquidity_assets`, so they can't inflate the vToken rate. Because the reserve counts its own shares, vTokens burned outside Vanna don't change anyone's claim either.

## Caps

`supply_cap` limits total lender assets. `borrow_cap` limits total borrows.

## Status and modes

Each reserve has a status:

The protocol also has an operating mode (`Normal`, `BorrowPaused`, `WithdrawOnly`, `Halted`). An action must pass both. Repay is always available.
