# Why Vanna

> One margin account, many collaterals, and a loan you can use anywhere on Solana.

On most of Solana a loan stays inside the protocol that issued it: borrow on a money market and you can only hold the borrowed tokens there. Vanna is a **credit layer**: the loan lives in your own margin account, and that account can act across Solana while the protocol keeps checking that it stays solvent.

## What Vanna adds

### 1. One account, many collaterals

Deposit SOL, USDC, liquid-staked SOL (JitoSOL, JupSOL), JupUSD and tokenized stocks (NVDAx, GOOGLx, AAPLx, TSLAx) into a single margin account. Every asset counts toward one health factor, so you don't manage a separate loan per collateral.

### 2. Borrow up to 10× and keep using the loan

Borrow SOL, USDC or USDT from Vanna's pools (one asset, or two at once with **Dual Borrow**) and the borrowed tokens stay in your margin account. From there you can:

* **Swap** on Jupiter or Titan ([Spot](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/trade/spot-swap.md))
* **Long or short** SOL, ETH, BTC, TSLA, META on Phoenix ([Perps](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/perps/overview.md))
* **Earn** on Kamino, Perena or delta-neutral basis vaults ([Farm](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/farm/overview.md))

Receipts and positions you open stay in the margin account and keep counting as collateral.

### 3. Lenders earn real borrow interest

Lenders supply SOL, USDC or USDT on [Earn](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/earn/overview.md) and receive vTokens that grow as borrowers pay interest.

### 4. Prediction shares that earn while you wait

On [Predict](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/predict/overview.md) you buy Yes / No on World.xyz events. Matching Yes and No shares are paired and lent into Vanna's USDC pool, so your position earns interest until the event resolves.

## Safety built into every action

Every action that could reduce your account's health (withdraw, borrow, swap, open a perp, move into a vault) runs a health check **on-chain** in the same transaction. If the account would end at or below a health factor of 1.10 the transaction fails, so it can't leave you liquidatable. See [Health Factor](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/margin/health-factor.md).

## What this is not

* **Not real money.** Vanna's current app runs on a Solana mainnet fork for testing. Test funds and balances exist only on the fork.
* **Not risk-free.** Leverage, perp funding and vault share prices can move against you. Read [Liquidation](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/margin/liquidation.md) before borrowing.
