# Deposit Collateral

> Add SOL, USDC, LSTs, JupUSD or xStocks to your margin account.

There are two ways to deposit:

| Where | Use it when |
| - | - |
| **Leverage your Assets** tab | You want to deposit and borrow in one transaction |
| **Transfer Collateral** (Portfolio account → Margin account) | You only want to move tokens into the margin account |

## Deposit (and borrow) in one go

**1. Open Leverage your Assets**

On **Margin**, keep the first tab selected.

**2. Pick the token and source**

Under **Deposit**, choose the token. **WB** deposits from your wallet balance; **MB** borrows against collateral already in your margin account (one token, borrow only).

**3. Enter the amount**

Type it or use **10% / 25% / 50% / 100%**. The USD value and current price are shown under the field.

**4. Add more collateral (optional)**

**+ Add Collateral** adds another token to the same transaction, so you can deposit several assets at once.

**5. Borrow, or not**

Set the borrow amount or leverage (see [Borrow](https://docs.vanna.finance/solana/guides/margin/borrow.md)). To deposit only, leave the borrow at zero.

**6. Review and sign**

Check **Transaction Details** and the before → after account preview, then click **Deposit & Borrow** (or deposit) and approve.

## Accepted collateral

SOL, USDC, JitoSOL, JupSOL, JupUSD, NVDAx, GOOGLx, AAPLx and TSLAx can be deposited. USDT can be held, borrowed, repaid and withdrawn, but isn't offered as a deposit.

Each asset counts at its full oracle value: health factor is total collateral ÷ total debt with no per-asset haircut.

> [!NOTE]
>
> When you deposit SOL from your wallet, the app keeps a small SOL reserve (0.05 SOL) back so you can still pay transaction fees.
