# Lending Instructions

> lender_supply, lender_redeem, public_refresh_reserve.

Source: `instructions/lending_pool.rs`.

## `lender_supply(assets, min_shares_out)`

Accrue. Measure what actually arrived in the liquidity vault (Token-2022 fees included). Mint vTokens at the current rate, at least `min_shares_out`. Respects `supply_cap`, the operating mode and the reserve status. The first deposit locks `MIN_INITIAL_SHARES` that nobody can redeem.

## `lender_redeem(shares, min_assets_out)`

Accrue. Burn vTokens. Pay out at most `available_cash` (cash minus protocol fees). Require assets ≥ `min_assets_out`. Allowed in every reserve status except `Frozen`.

## `public_refresh_reserve`

Permissionless accrual. Anyone can update a pool so its index isn't stale before a quote.

## Notes

* SOL is wrapped by the client before supply. The program sees wSOL.
* Unsolicited transfers into the liquidity vault do not change `accounted_liquidity_assets`, so they can't inflate the vToken rate.
* The reserve counts its own lender shares (`total_supply_shares`). vTokens burned outside Vanna don't change anyone else's claim.
